Fatoumata Doro is a dedicated advocate for women’s development and an accomplished international business professional specializing in revitalizing brands and businesses. Recognized as a risk-taker, she thrives on pushing boundaries and fostering growth and transformation.
Born in Niger, Fatoumata defied her humble background to work for several global companies. Throughout her career, she has been a trailblazer, notably as part of the first francophone African team for Procter and Gamble. She went on to become the first female African Managing Director for Arla Foods, breaking barriers as the first female MD for a textile company. She is a marketer and overall business leader. Her outstanding achievements include being nominated as CEO of the Year in 2022 and earning a spot among the top 100 women careerwomen.
Despite her global success, Fatoumata remains committed to supporting her home country through her NGO, Hourera. The organization focuses on mentoring youth, particularly young women, in the realms of global business and health support. She is also a board member of African Science Academy (ASA), founded by the African Gifted Foundation, is a girls-only Advanced Level school for young women from across Africa with outstanding maths and science potential.
In a recent milestone, Fatoumata has been nominated as a board member of Ecobank, the largest bank in Niger, further solidifying her impact on both the international business stage and her local community.
Adding to her list of achievements, Fatoumata scaled Kilimanjaro, Africa’s tallest mountain and the world’s highest free-standing mountain. She is the first person from Niger to reach the summit, showcasing her determination and resilience beyond the boardroom.
